I used to be centered a perfect circle orbiting one point always stable but so sterile.
Now that I’ve met you, what do I do?
Stretch that center to accommodate, like an awkward smile?
Or do I become an ellipse with two centers one for me and one for we?
That second center tracking our strange attractor chaotic, dynamic, alive.
The first center anchors the other keeping our shape as we undulate.
Am I brave enough to hold them both here in my heart?
If I don’t then surely we’ll fly apart.
I simply need to trust that we won’t collapse to that flat line where all shape is lost.
Finally feeling your body next to mine will be a start!
